Mehmet Ilbaysozu
October 20th, 1976 – Golbasi, Adiyaman, Turkey
He completed his undergraduate studies in business management at Marmara University Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences between 1994 and 1998.
His interest in photography began during his faculty years in Istanbul.
He took his first photography lessons with Adanian photographer Vahap Akşen whom he regards as his master. He learnt a lot from him during the course of their long conversations.
He started attending AFAD (Adana Photograph Amateurs Association) in 1995.
He opened his first personal photograph exhibition in Adana in 2000.
He left Turkey in 2003 and has travelled over 30 countries on 6 continents and built up his photo portfolio.
He opened his second personal photograph exhibition “Portraits from The World – Portrait du Monde” in Paris on January 2010.
His works have been displayed and awarded in both national and international exhibitions and contests.
Panama Canal, Alaskan Glaciers, Pacific Islands, Australia, New Zealand, Gannets, Soufi Dervishes and Sydney night HDR works are his main portfolios.
He’s still doing Professional photography in his own studio in Adana, Turkey.www.snapfotoajans.com
He is married to ceramic artist Fatma İlbaysözü and they have a 4-year-old daughter named Zeynep.
